Champion trainers Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman have left the door open for a late entry to the Gr.1 Tarzino Trophy (1400m) at Hastings on September 1.
The partnership had Jon Snow, Francaletta and New York Minute among the entries for the weight-for-age feature when nominations closed earlier this week.
"Jon Snow could potentially run there before heading to Melbourne, but it's definitely the aim for Francaletta and a lot will be decided with New York Minute by how she runs in the Opunake Cup on Saturday and the Foxbridge Plate," Forsman said.
"But there is a late entry of only $600 more than the initial payment a week before the race so if we do have something else that is going well, we could consider putting them in late then."
