Scott Lucock and Sally Gillespie will be handing in their trainers’ licences at the end of this season.
Currently based at Byerley Park, they will be taking up senior positions within the powerful Te Akau operation from August 1.
“The offer was too good to refuse and not many, if any, other stables in New Zealand could offer these types of jobs,” Lucock said.
“We’ve been at Byerley Park for nine years and training’s a battle. We’re not getting any younger so it’s a very good opportunity and we’re looking forward to it.”
