John Sargent has high spring expectations of his New Zealand-bred filly Luvaluva.
The expatriate Kiwi trainer has the Gr.1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) and the Gr.1 Melbourne Cup (3200m) at the top of his wish list for the daughter of Mastercraftsman, who is in the early stages of her build-up.
Luvaluva won both the Gr.3 Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m) and the Gr.3 Kembla Grange Classic (1600m) during her last preparation. She was spelled after an unplaced run in the Gr.1 Australian Oaks (2400m).
