Bella Padoza might still be a bit rough around the edges, but with further experience looks more than capable of progressing through the grades.
The Zed filly was an encouraging fifth on debut and at Waverley on Friday, despite racing fiercely on the pace, she was a clear-cut winner under apprentice jockey Madan Singh of the Norwood Maiden (1200m).
“She’s still learning and I said to Madan that if she wants to pull to let her roll along and he did,” trainer Anna Clement said.
