Aim Smart is heading in the right direction after a tidy trial win at Taupo on Tuesday.
The China Horse Club-owned son of Smart Missile was successful in his 1000m open heat in the hands of Troy Harris.
Aim Smart is now in Lauren Brennan’s stable after winning one of his four starts for Tony Pike and placing in the Gr.3 Northland Breeders’ Stakes (1200m).
“I’m very happy with him, he’s a nice animal,” Brennan said. “We wanted to give him a trial on decent footing, which Taupo was, and we’d been struggling to find the right trial venue.
“He’s had a few issues and can be a bit temperamental. I’m not 100 per cent sure if he’s staying with us – I hope so.”
