Family success for Latta

Lisa Latta has savoured a sentimental victory with the three-year-old Kotahi.

She produced the son of Alamosa and Sacha, who was a multiple stakes winner for the stable, at Awapuni on Thursday to break his maiden at his second appearance.

“She was a special mare and sadly passed away after she had him so it’s nice she left one with ability,” Latta said.

“He’s always showed a bit and we’ve just waited for the wet tracks with him.”
