A trip north beckons Hard To Be Humble following her Wellington assignment on Saturday.
The Roc de Cambes mare was a strong last-start second over a mile at New Plymouth and she will step up to a middle distance in the WRC Life Members’ Trentham Gold Cup (2200m).
“It was a good run first-up and she had every reason to throw the towel in after being three and four wide all the way,” trainer Janelle Millar said.
“My concern is going 2100m second-up on a Heavy 11 track, but she needs the run – we want to get her to the Kiwifruit Cup at Tauranga next month.”
