Signs of Southern Princess resuming her promising career are positive.
The Guillotine four-year-old has won three of her nine starts, including a last-start defeat of the subsequent Listed Hawke’s Bay Cup (2200m) winner Richie McHorse.
“After Ellerslie we found she had a hairline fracture of her cannon bone,” part-owner and trainer Peter Lock said.
“It was screwed and the x-rays have given her a clearance, but we’ll be giving her more time in the paddock.”
