Ole Ole and Peaceful will give champion trainers Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman a strong hand in Saturday’s Listed Auckland Futurity Stakes (1400m) at Pukekohe Park, although track conditions are more of a concern for one of their representatives.
“It’s going to be very heavy and I don’t know about Peaceful handling it, but we’ll take our chances,” Baker said.
Peaceful is coming off a runner-up finish in the Listed Berkley Stud Champagne Stakes (1200m) on slow ground at Riccarton while Ole Ole was second in heavy going at Pukekohe two runs back in the Listed Champagne Stakes (1600m).
He then finished third in the Listed Waikato Equine Veterinary Centre Stakes (1100m) at Te Rapa.
