Smart winter performer Wooden Edge will be back in action on Saturday.
“He’ll run at Pukekohe in the Rating 75 1200m and Amber Sims will ride him, she rode him well at the trials,” trainer Chris Wood said.
Wooden Edge, who will be having his first raceday start since November, finished third in his open 935m heat at Cambridge earlier this month.
The lightly-raced six-year-old has won six of his 18 starts, all of them on slow or heavy tracks.
