Lisa Latta is keen on a seven-day back-up for Manhattan Street, who returned to winning form on his home track on Saturday.
The Awapuni trainer will head to Trentham this weekend with the four-year-old for The Hanley Formula Sprint Championship Final (1200m).
Now the winner of four of his 13 starts, Manhattan Street’s previous success had come in the 2016 Listed Ryder Stakes (1200m). He was also runner-up to the subsequent Group winner Highlad in last season’s Listed Wanganui Guineas (1340m).
