Moyrabella, a $26,000 purchase off gavelhouse.com in April 2017, is proving a successful investment for connections, stringing two wins together with the latest coming in the gavelhouse.com Rating 75 at Riccarton on Friday.
Trained by Riccarton-based Terri Rae, Moyrabella proved successful last start in the NZB Insurance Pearl Series 1400m at Otago and on Friday she jumped from barrier five and settled in the box seat over the same distance. The daughter of Makfi found her way up the rail to lead from the 300m mark before sustaining her sprint to the line to win by a half-neck.
Being NZB Insurance Pearl Series Eligible the win at Otago proved lucrative with co-owner Greg Taylor commenting on Friday’s performance “It was a great win by Moyrabella on Friday.”
“Whilst in the current ownership she is now nine starts for three wins, three seconds and due to astute placing by the trainer Terri Rae the winner of two NZB Insurance Pearl Series Bonus races and $60,000 in stakes and bonuses.”

Bred by Watson Bloodstock, Moyrabella is out of the unplaced Danzero mare Dr Kate who is a daughter of champion race mare and Gr.1 NZ Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes winner Zirna (Deputy Governor).
