New Zealand Group One winner La Diosa will make a fleeting return to racing from her new quarters at Flemington on Saturday.
Racing as La Bella Diosa, the So You Think four-year-old is now with the David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig training operation.
“We got her about a month ago,” Ben Hayes said. “She had a little bit of a base on her before she came over so we gave her a trial at Werribee with Damien Oliver aboard and she went pretty well.
“She gave him the feel that she wants 1400m so that's where we're starting her off. The idea with her is we'll give her one run, put her away and bring her back for the spring.”
Matt and Mandy Brown prepared La Diosa to win last season’s Gr.1 New Zealand 1000 Guineas (1600m) and the Gr.2 Surround Stakes (1400m).
