Former Singapore galloper Magstock will make his Australian debut Group Three company at Doomben.
Trainer Kelly Schweida has opted to start the Kiwi-bred son of Tavistock in the BRC Sprint (1200m) in preference to a softer benchmark race on Saturday’s programme.
Magstock, who won four races in Singapore, hasn’t raced since December but has placed in two barrier trials at Deagon.
“He got here in January and after quarantine we sent him up to Washpool Lodge for pre-training, so he has had a while to settle in before getting to the stables,” Schweida said.
