Stakes performer Ohceedee is in the right order to double his career tally.
The last-start maiden winner has trained on particularly well ahead of The Homestead Sportsbar Reuben Lewis Memorial (1200m) at Ruakaka on Wednesday.
“It was a good effort fresh-up after six months away,” trainer Steven Cole said. “He’s been beaten by a few good ones in the past and he’s improved out of sight.”
A black-type placegetter at two, Ohceedee has distinguished himself well in decent age group company before his breakthrough victory.
“He ran second to Felton Road and he’s beaten Danzdanzdance and we all know what she’s done,” Cole said.
Among Ohceedee’s rivals on Wednesday will be his stablemate Creative Genius, who will be having his first run for the year.
“He’s pretty forward, we had a few issues with his feet at the end of his last preparation and he’s good now,” Cole said.
