Group performer Zambezi Warrior is making good progress after his career was interrupted by a tendon injury.
“It wasn’t that bad and he’s on the way back – he’s a progressive horse,” co-trainer Jamie Richards said.
The winner of four races, Zambezi Warrior ran third at his last appearance in the Gr.3 Waikato Cup (2400m) and also finished runner-up in the Gr.3 Premier’s Cup (2200m) at Eagle Farm last season.
