Terra Sancta has made a positive start in her chase for a spot in the Gr.1 Queensland Oaks (2400m).
The Kevin Hickman-bred and owned three-year-old pressed her claims with an Australian debut success in the hands of Jim Byrne over a mile at Ipswich on Monday.
The Tony Pike trained daughter of Pierro will have a further chance to nail down an Oaks berth when she makes her next appearance at the Sunshine Coast.
