Roll The Gold has prospered on past visits to the central districts and he will be heading back to Awapuni next week.
“There’s a Rating 75 there for him on Anzac Day,” trainer Gary Hennessy said. “He’s always showed a lot, he’s just lacked maturity.”
A two-time winner on the Palmerston North course including a last-start victory there, Roll The Gold is coming toward the end of his current campaign that has also seen him successful at Wairoa.
“He’s a nice horse and I think he’ll get 2000m next season,” Hennessy said.
