The Ross McCarroll-trained Calligraphy will be looking for redemption when she resumes after her disappointing unplaced performance in the Gr.3 Manawatu Breeders’ (2000m) at Awapuni last Friday.
“I thought her run in the Manawatu Breeders was poor,” McCarroll said. “I think she travelled badly down there and the track was pretty rough.
“We’ve given her ten days off and then she’s going to Rotorua for the fillies and mares race (Gr.3 ISCL Rotorua Stakes 1400m). I’ll try her closer to home in the black-type race.”
