Stakes-winning stayer Kaharau is in the running for a trip to Queensland.
“He races at Pukekohe next Saturday over 2200m,” co-trainer Kenny Rae said. “He’s on track to head to Brisbane as well, I think the Caloundra Cup would suit him.”
Kaharau has won 10 races, including the Listed Dunedin Cup (2400m) and also placed in this season’s Gr.3 New Zealand Cup (3200m).
