Bill Thurlow is hoping a home track victory today with Wee Gilly will be the forerunner to further success at the weekend.
The Waverley trainer produced the Roc de Cambes filly at her third start to comfortably beat her older rivals in the Norwoods Maiden (2200m) and now his focus turns to her talented stablemate Glory Days, who resumes in Saturday’s Congratulations Miss Wilson 1300m at Hastings.
“I’m really happy with her and she’s been working well,” Thurlow said.
Glory Days has won three of her 11 starts, including a Premier success during the Cup carnival at Riccarton, and hasn’t raced since Trentham in January.
