Connections of the Group performer Promise To Reign are happy to err on the side of caution.
The well-related mare, who has four black type placings to her credit, has been put aside for the season following a minor set-back.
“We didn’t want to risk her, she’s a valuable mare so we’re being very careful with her,” co-trainer Kieran Murdoch said.
“We’ll check her through the winter and we would be disappointed if she didn’t come back, she’s a lovely mare who hasn’t had a lot of luck.”
