Melbourne-based New Zealand jockey Mick Dee will be chasing Group One wins on consecutive weekends when he partners Arbeitsam in Saturday’s A$3 million Doncaster Mile (1600m) at Randwick.
Fresh from success with the Kiwi-bred Hiyaam in the Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m), Dee will have his first ride for trainers Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott aboard Arbeitsam.
“He'll be there for a long way and Gai is the queen of winning the Doncaster. She is going for her eighth on Saturday,” he said.
