Well-related juvenile Princess Amelie is likely to go to the paddock after opening her account at Tauherenikau on Sunday.
“She’s a big filly and has probably done enough this preparation,” trainer Lisa Latta said.
A daughter of Snitzel and the Group Two winner and Group One-placed Just Dancing, Princess Amelie had placed in one of her two previous starts before breaking through over 1000m.
“There was a bit of speed in the race so Robert (Hannam) did the right thing by going back for some cover and once she was out she got home well,” Latta said.
