Group Two-winning and Group One-placed El Hermano mare Underthemoonlight will kick off her autumn campaign in the Gr.1 All-Aged Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on April 21.
Co-breeder and part-owner Hamish McQuade said the Gr.1 Tarzino Trophy (1400m) placegetter was thriving in the early stages of her preparation.
“I've never seen her come up so well or so sound,” said McQuade, who bred Underthemoonlight with his wife Karyn, the mare's trainer. The couple race her with Cliff Solomon.
A winner of five of her 25 starts, including the Gr.2 Foxbridge Plate (1200m) at Te Rapa and Gr.3 Taranaki Breeders’ Stakes (1400m) at Hawera, Underthemoonlight has a terrific record fresh and handles all types of track conditions.
