Half-sister to Gingernuts for sale on gavelhouse.com

A half-sister to Te Akau Racing’s cult-hero and multiple Group One winner Gingernuts is a highlight in the latest gavelhouse.com New Zealand catalogue.

Gingernuts (Iffraaj) won as a juvenile and went on to win at stakes level in the Gr.2 Avondale
Guineas and Gr.1 New Zealand Derby before crossing the Tasman to conquer a class field in the Gr.1 Rosehill Guineas. He also has the Gr.1 Windsor Park Plate as a four year old on his mantle.

Offered on account of her breeder Chris Thompson at Lot 11, the filly is also a half-sister to juvenile winner and gavelhouse.com graduate Griffin (Iffraaj), who last season ran fourth in the Gr.2 Hawkes Bay Guineas.

The aforementioned trio are out of Generous mare Double Elle who has had four in total to race, all being winners while the yearling filly on offer is by Novara Park’s ill-fated Jakkalberry. With only his juvenile crop to the races Jakkalberry has pleasantly surprised connections with the champion stayer already the sire of recent Gr.3 Matamata Slipper runner-up Thomas Aquinas.

In addition to 20 yearlings the 54 - strong catalogue features plenty of racing stock and two and three in one breeding packages with foals at foot by  Zacinto, Rock N Pop, Rip Van Winkle, Proisir and Atlante.

Covering sires include Dalghar, Rageese, Ocean Park, Proisir, Mongolian Khan, Fabulous, Super Easy, Reliable Man, Darci Brahma, Rock N Pop, Jimmy Choux and Zacinto.

Bidding is set to close from 7pm NZ time on Monday 19 March. Register online to bid or get in touch with the team for more information via info@gavelhouse.com or call +64 9 296 4436  -gavelhouse.com
