Warwick Farm trainer Bjorn Baker will welcome Crack Me Up into his stable in the next 24 hours after being announced as the Doncaster Mile-bound galloper's new trainer.
Baker has taken over the horse's campaign from Queensland-based Liam Birchley.
Birchley had an "interim" order, stopping him from racing horses in New South Wales, placed against him by Racing NSW stewards on Tuesday over raceday treatment charges he faces in Victoria.
Crack Me Up is heading to Sydney to contest's Saturday's Gr.3 Liverpool City Cup (1300m) at Randwick, en route to a possible start in the A$3 million Gr.1 Doncaster Mile (1600m) at Randwick on April 7.
Crack Me Up's win in the Gr.2 Villiers Stakes in December gained ballot exemption for the Doncaster Mile.
"It's unfortunate circumstances but at the end of the day someone has to train him and I'mlucky to be given the chance," Baker said. "He'll arrive tomorrow morning.
"There's not a lot I can tell you about Saturday but hopefully he'll run well and we'll work towards getting him to the Doncaster in great order.
"Baker revealed that Crack Me Up is the first proven Australian Group horse he's been given to train since setting up shop at the western Sydney track six years ago.
"Tomorrow morning will be the first time I've had an Aussie Group winner walk into the stables," he said.
"I was actually having a look at his form and the profiles of recent Villiers winners and what I learned was they have a good record in the Doncaster.
"Since the ATC (Australian Turf Club) introduced Doncaster ballot exemption four years ago, the Villiers winners haven't finished further back than fourth in the Doncaster." -racenet.com.au
