Lengthy break for Spring Heat

Talented Matamata filly Spring Heat won’t race again this season.

The Gr.3 Bonecrusher Stakes (1400m) winner was sent for a long spell following her fifth placing in the Gr.1 Levin Classic (1600m) at Trentham.

“We’ve turned her out for a good break after the long trip to Wellington and she’ll come back as a lovely four-year-old,” said Andrew Scott, who trains Spring Heat with Lance O’Sullivan. “She’s still a bit immature.”
