New Zealand-breds have already provided Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young with three winners this week.
The Cranbourne-based couple produced the O’Reilly colt Montaser to score at Sandown on Wednesday for the second success of his four-start career.
The former Cambridge trainers then followed up with a winning double at Pakenham on Thursday courtesy of the Tavistock filly Hapuka and Our Peaky Blinders, a son of Sir Percy formerly prepared by Kylie Fawcett.
Busuttin and Young will be represented by Persian Empire in Saturday’s Gr.2 Electrolux Avondale Guineas (2100m) at Ellerslie while his fellow Kiwi-bred stablemates Main Stage and Sully contest the Gr.3 C. S. Hayes Stakes (1400m) at Flemington.
