Romancer will have another sprint outing before he is stepped out over more ground.
“The only race for him is the Darley Plate on Derby Day and then he’ll head toward the Easter at Pukekohe, it’s back to a handicap so that will suit him,” co-trainer Chris Gibbs.
Romancer won a Rating 70 event over 1400m at Ruakaka last month before he finished strongly for second in the Gr.3 Concorde Handicap (1200m) at Ellerslie.
The Gr.2 Manco Easter Handicap (1600m) will be run at Pukekohe on April 21.
