Mission Hill has opened his summer campaign in perfect style.
The Teofilo three-year-old resumed at Pukekohe on Friday following a three month break and he produced a resolute finish to win the Lone Star Pukekohe (1400m).
“It was a very muddling run race so we’re very happy,” said Andrew Forsman, who trains at Cambridge with Murray Baker.
Mission Hill’s win saw his Derby quote come in from $26 to $18 while Vin De Dance, who finished fourth at Pukekohe behind his stablemate, is at $21.
“Vin De Dance hadn’t done as much as Mission Hill so we’re very pleased with both of them,” Forsman said. “There are options for them now.”
