Promising three-year-old Flying Feet will keep his classic hopes alive if successful at Te Rapa on Sunday.
The son of Ocean Park will attempt to go one better in The Edge 97.8 FM 1400m after finishing runner-up on debut at Rotorua last month.
“He’s come on a lot since his first start and having Opie (Bosson) on is a big plus,” trainer Joe Waldron said.
“Obviously, he needs to get his maiden out of the way first and if he does it impressively we’ve got two options - we could push on toward the Derby or put him away and look toward Queensland.”
