Volpe Veloce hasn’t missed a beat as she bids to complete a prestigious sprinting double.
The Foxwedge mare won the Gr.1 Railway (1200m) at Ellerslie on New Year’s Day and she is the current pre-post favourite for Saturday’s Gr.1 JR & N Berkett Telegraph (1200m) at Trentham.
“She’s bouncing and ready for battle,” said Gavin Parker, who trains Volpe Veloce at Matamata with Graham Richardson.
“It’s a long way to go for us, but she’s always travelled well.”
