Capable stayer Saint Kitt will strip at his best for the Listed Gallagher Marton Cup (2100m) at Awapuni on Saturday.
The eight-year-old has improved since his last-start fourth in the Stratford Cup (2000m), according to part-owner Grant Cullen, who trains the Keeper gelding with Guy Lowry.
“I was thrilled with the run, he had 60kg and was caught three wide with no cover,” he said.
“That was his third run back and he’s a big, gross horse, he can run a cheeky race.”
