Quality three-year- olds Embellish and Age Of Fire impressed in an exhibition gallop on their hometrack at Matamata on Wednesday.

The Gr.1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas (1600m) winner was ridden by Opie Bosson while Matt Cameron partnered the Riccarton classic runner-up.

They galloped 1000m in 1.01.2 and the stablemates weren’t pressed to run the closing 600m in 35.

“It was nice comfortable work,” said Stephen Autridge, who trains with Jamie Richards. “They weren’t out to break any records, just nice easy work on the bridle.

“The big colt on the outside (Age of Fire) is a very good track worker and Embellish just does his own thing.”

They will resume in the three-year- old event over 1400m at Ellerslie on Boxing Day with Embellish to then contest the Karaka 3YO Classic (1600m). His autumn target is the Gr.1 Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington on March 3.
