Former New Zealand filly Lisdoonvarna has continued a promising start to her Australian career with a Warwick Farm win.
Sent out a $6 chance, the daughter of Super Easy made the running on a rain-affected track in the TAB Handicap before clearing out to win by 2-3/4 lengths.
After one run in New Zealand for a placing on a wet track in a two-year-old race at Ruakaka last season, Lisdoonvarna started her Australian career with successive wins at Nowra during October before a Hawkesbury defeat.
But she was back on her game at Warwick Farm with Amanda Turner revealing the filly had become too worked up at Hawkesbury.
"She's done a lot in one prep so I hope she can keep doing what she's doing," Turner said.
Jockey Peter Wells, who has ridden Lisdoonvarna in all four runs for Turner and co-trainer Mauro Poletti, says the filly is still learning but progressing well.
"The way she's going, the sky's the limit for her," he said. -AAP
