Capable stayer Balham has bounced back to his best form for trainers David and Emma Howarth.
He won for the sixth time when successful in the Steelform Roofing Group Waverley Cup (2200m) in the hands of Rosie Myers on Sunday.
“Duffers Creek put pace into the race and our horse was able to keep rolling,” Emma Howarth said.
“About the 800 I could see he was travelling well, when he starts to move into a race like that it’s a good sign.”
