The versatile Nothing Trivial has successfully rounded off his preparation for Saturday’s Gr.3 Christchurch Casino New Zealand Cup (3200m).
The Matamata galloper won a Rating 75 event over 2000m at Riccarton on Wednesday and trainer Wayne Hillis said that was always his preferred path into the Cup.
“It was a very good performance. He won a hurdle race (over 2800m) earlier this year so I’ve always thought he will stay two miles.”
