Sam Weatherley brought up his century of career wins on Wednesday aboard the former North Island galloper Kolonel Kev at Riccarton.
The champion apprentice claimed the Bidfood Butchery Premier (1400m) on Kolonel Kev, who was having his first start for local trainer Terri Rae after transferring from Lisa Latta’s Awapuni stable.
“I’m rapt, the horse gave me a great ride. He really brought his A-game,” Weatherley said. “It was a big goal to get 100 wins and I just want to keep riding more winners.”
