Well-travelled Kiwi-bred galloper Raghu has made an immediate impact in Australia.
The Showcasing five-year-old was successful in his first appearance for local trainer Jason Warren when he won a 1600m handicap at Mornington on Sunday
Raghu began his career with Cambridge trainer Tony Pike and won the Listed Karaka 3YO Mile (1600m) before he finished third in the Gr.1 New Zealand Derby (2400m).
He subsequently joined Caspar Fownes’ Hong Kong stable, but following five unsuccessful starts there he transferred to Warren.
