Wait A Sec will run at Ellerslie on Tuesday with a view to a longer-term Group One return.
“We’re looking forward to it and giving him a run that way around and then later on, all going well, he’ll head back for the Auckland Cup,” said Guy Lowry, who trains with Grant Cullen.
Wait A Sec will go into the Gr.3 OMF Stakes (2000m) off the back of his upset Gr.1 Livamol Classic (2040m) win at Hawke’s Bay.
“He’s really been working well and he’s bouncing around,” Lowry said.
