A decision on whether Lizzie L’Amour returns home or makes another appearance in Melbourne has yet to be decided.
The Zabeel mare dropped out to beat only one runner home in Wednesday’s Gr.3 Geelong Cup (2400m) after making the running.
“Obviously, it was a disappointing run,” said Andrew Forsman, who trains the five-year-old with Murray Baker. “There’s a thought we may take the blinkers off and try her on the last day of the carnival in the Matriarch Stakes, but nothing has been decided.”
Meanwhile, he is pleased with Vin De Dance’s condition but wary about his chances in Saturday’s Gr.2 Moonee Valley Vase (2040m).
“He’s well, but he’s still on his first preparation. It’s never easy,” Forsman said.
Vin De Dance won and was placed in three New Zealand starts and finished third in his Australian debut over 1600m at Caulfield.
“It was a game run, he’s still a bit green,” Forsman said.
