Victorian apprentice Zac Spain will ride at Ellerslie on Saturday, with Group One performer Belle Du Nord his star mount.
The 21-year-old boasts more than 150 wins to his credit, including 10 for former Waikato trainers Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young, and it was through that link that he secured the Listed Partners Life Soliloquy Stakes (1400m) mount on the David and Emma-Lee Browne-trained Belle Du Nord.
Spain, who rides down to 50kg and will also be aboard Pepper Mill in the open 1400m sprint, will be available for other mounts.
