Wanganui jockey Johnathan Parkes was relieved of $1200 after his upset win aboard Wait A Sec in Sunday’s Gr.1 Livamol Classic (2040m).
He was fined for excessive use of the whip in the Hawke’s Bay feature while Opie Bosson, rider of the runner-up Gingernuts, was also guilty of the same offence and fined $1000.
