Ballarat trainer Matt Cumani achieved a first in his fledgling career on Sunday, training a race day double on the Seymour Cup card.
The win of the New Zealand-bred Tavistock three-year-old Greycliffe followed the earlier success of the OTI-syndicated Tristano.
“Greycliffe is coming along really nicely. I was a bit disappointed not to win with him last time, I was hoping to keep his record intact, but nice to come here and do it convincingly,” Cumani said.
The colt remains in the mix for the Gr.1 VRC Derby (2500m) at Flemington on November 4.
