Group One winner Marky Mark is in good heart ahead of his upcoming campaign.
“He’s well and trialled up nicely when he won at Ruakaka,” said Moira Murdoch, who trains the five-year-old with her daughter Kieran. “He’ll probably kick off at Ellerslie on October 28.”
Marky Mark, who claimed the Gr.1 Manawatu Sires’ Produce Stakes at two, won races at Pukekohe Park and at Tauranga when sparingly raced last term.
“We wanted him to have a quieter season, he was quite busy as a two and three-year-old,” Murdoch said.
