Rich Hill Stud Taranaki Breeders’ Stakes (1400m) contender Thee Auld Floozie will take a step back in class on Saturday.
She will run in the Group Three contest at Hawera after unplaced efforts in the Gr.1 Tarzino Trophy (1400m) and in the Gr.1 Windsor Park Plate (1600m).
“Her work has been very good and if we could get a better track it would help her,” trainer Stephen Marsh said.
The Cambridge conditioner also confirmed stablemate Sofia Rosa would be heading back to Hawke’s Bay for the rescheduled Gr.1 Livamol Classic (2040m) on October 22.
“She’s really well and she’ll definitely be running at Hastings,” he said.
