Royal Success is heading in the right direction as he prepares for a return to racing.
Talented but unsound, the Savabeel gelding has won four of his eight starts and he finished runner-up in an open heat over 1000m at Te Teko on Tuesday.
“He trialled well enough and, at this stage, he’s looking good,” co-trainer Jamie Richards said. “We’ve just had a treadmill put in and he’ll do a lot of his work on that.”
