Mission Hill had no trouble at Avondale on Wednesday in opening his winning account at the second time of asking.
Narrowly beaten on debut at Pukekohe earlier this month, he was quickly into stride to lead and strode away in the straight to claim the Fasttrack Insurance 1330m with ease.
“He didn’t like the track too much, but he was just too good anyway,” rider Matt Cameron said.
