Black type performer Romancer is progressing well toward a return to racing.
The winner of two of his six starts, including the Listed Mufhasa Stakes (1300m) at Ellerslie, the son of Redwood hasn’t been seen out since he was unplaced off a wide run in the Gr.2 Avondale Guineas (2100m) in February.
“He’s up and galloping again so he’s not far away,” co-trainer Donna Logan said. “We’ve had a few issues with his knees, but he’s good now.”
The four-year-old was co-bred by Craig Dawson, who welcomed a sister to Romancer on Monday morning.
